Anupam Yadav, Dr.
Since 2025, Anupam has served as Innovation and Entrepreneurship Manager at the Energy Innovation Centre in Cottbus.
Over the past decade in Europe, he has refined his interdisciplinary expertise and developed the ability to translate complex scientific knowledge into tangible value. He earned a Marie Curie-funded PhD at KU Leuven and IMEC Belgium, specializing in experimental physics (2015–2021), before advancing materials and energy research at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (2021–2023). Most recently, at the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) SFB Project at the University of Bayreuth (2024–2025), he tackled unresolved challenges in perovskite photovoltaics.
During his research career, Anupam pushed the boundaries of thin-film nanotechnology by developing four specialized material growth and metrology tools, enabling new possibilities in materials science and engineering. He has co-authored over 10 scientific publications (h-index 9, 275+ citations) and holds one patent.
Alongside his research, he gained valuable business acumen from 10 years working in his family’s real estate firm and co-founded an agriproducts startup.
Known for communicating vision, creativity, and clarity, Anupam has earned recognition through the 2012 MITACS Fellowship, 2019 MIT–KU Leuven and 2023 Helmholtz Enterprise Seed Fund Awards. In 2023, he also chaired the Helmholtz Berlin Postdoctoral Researchers Council, providing career support to peers and driving strategic initiatives to strengthen the research community.
