The EUNICE universities, which include the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, are offering an online workshop for students who want to develop a creative idea. The winning teams can also participate in the summer school in Catania.

From now on, students from the BTU and other EUNICE universities can register for the online seminar "EUNICE Contamination Lab". The module consists of ten workshops that will be held online between 10 March and 26 May and will provide participants with the important content needed to develop an idea from brainstorming to a presentation pitch.

As the name suggests, the students are supposed to "infect" themselves with a start-up idea and work it out. In the "EUNICE contamination lab" they learn the basics of content and are professionally accompanied by mentors from within the university as well as external companies. At the BTU (Chair of General Business Administration, especially Planning, Innovation and Foundation), Prof. Dr Magdalena Mißler-Behr, Dr Viktor Zakar, Mr Cheng-Wen Jaw, Ms Julia Braun and Kirill Sarachuk provide support. Every Friday between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., the lecturers of the EUNICE colleges impart knowledge worth knowing, from idea generation, the business plan and soft skills to preparation for the elevator pitch.

The students are divided into interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, can develop their own idea and gain a lot of practical experience when turning it into a realisable project. According to the motto "learning by doing", they receive the necessary know-how and can discover their entrepreneurial potential along the way.

The highlight of the course will be the official presentation of the ideas to the jury on 26 May. The winning teams will be allowed to participate in the one-week summer school at the University of Catania from 10 to 14 July. In addition, they will receive individual support for their product idea and travel expenses for the summer school will be covered.

In any case, participants from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will receive 6 ECTS points and a certificate after successfully completing the module.

Interested parties can apply for the programme as of now. The application deadline is 28 February.
