End-of-semester concert - from jazz, rock, pop to classical music

Music students of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will give samples of their skills in a public concert on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 7 pm. Interested parties are invited to attend free of charge in the large hall of the Cottbus Conservatory at Puschkinpromenade 13/14.

The joint end-of-semester concert of the classical and popular music courses in the impressive ambience of the conservatory represents a premiere in the more than 25-year history of the Cottbus music courses.

In this concert, the highlights of the past summer semester can be experienced once again in concentrated form as a colorful round dance of classical and popular music. The young musicians will fill the large hall of the conservatory with the sounds of their instruments and voices and lead through a varied program - across the centuries of music history to the popular present.

Soloists, chamber ensembles, the chamber orchestra, the pop choir and a band are looking forward to many visitors who can accompany them into the summer with their music.

Background
If you are interested in studying music and would like to combine it with a pedagogical education, the BTU is the right place for you.
The artistic-pedagogical program Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy at the Cottbus-Sachsendorf campus leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Instrumental or Vocal Pedagogy in eight semesters.
The Certificate Program in Artistic Education is an elite master's-equivalent program. It offers artists* a two-year training in which they can concentrate intensively on their main subject and thus sharpen their personality profile.
Students from both programs will perform at the end-of-semester concert.
