Conference on social science survey and spatial research

Around 70 scientists will meet at the interdisciplinary conference "The Power of Where - Spatial Insights from Survey Data" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg to discuss their work in the field of social science survey and spatial research.

The Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development is organizing the conference from 29 February to 1 March 2024 in Cottbus in cooperation with the BTU and the Leibniz ScienceCampus SOEP RegioHub.

At the conference, various approaches and perspectives on linking survey data with spatial data will be presented and discussed - a topic that has gained in importance in recent years due to the increasing availability of georeferenced survey data.

The conference is connected with the cooperation agreement between the BTU and the new BBSR location in Cottbus.
