Boomtown Cottbus launches a campaign for skilled workers
As part of a regional network, the city of Cottbus wants to focus on the large number of interesting jobs and the high quality of life in the city and the region with a digital skilled labor and image campaign under the slogan "Boomtown Cottbus": Europe's most modern railroad plant, a new university medical center, a research campus and an absolutely new, climate-neutral city district directly on the lake are just a few of the future projects of Boomtown Cottbus that are unique nationally and in part internationally. In the six development fields of Mobility, Science, Health, New Energy, Industry 4.0 and Smart City, more than 5 billion euros will flow in a few years and around 7,000 new jobs will be created.
The campaign "Boomtown Cottbus - Your Job in the Lusatian Awakening" was launched with the live event and a video broadcast. The event was attended by Stefan Korb, Head of the Economic Department of the City of Cottbus, Dr. Klaus Freytag, Lusatia Commissioner, and Prof. Gesine Grande, President of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. In her speech, the university president said the BTU depends on a boomtown, but also has a lot to contribute to it. The university will launch a number of major projects with a lot of money from structural change, and very large development and research programs are planned. This would require students, scientists and professors. But there is also a great need for specialists in the technical areas, in the cafeteria, in facility management and more. That's why "Boomtown Cottbus" is a great idea that the BTU is happy to support.
Those interested in Cottbus and those looking to make a change can find all the information they need about the development fields and suitable job offers on the boomtown.de website. The purely digitally oriented campaign for skilled workers draws attention nationwide to the opportunities in Cottbus with authentic stories and a target group-appropriate approach.
