Opening of the CSD action weeks 2023

The motto this year is"Care - Shaping Diversity". With the traditional raising of the rainbow flag on 26.06.2023, at 11 am by BTU President Prof. Dr. Gesine Grande,we kick off two weeks of effectively advocating for the rights and visibility of LGBTIQ+ and making diversity, love and respect visible in the city. Meeting point is between the main building and the IKMZ at the flagpoles.

In the course of the opening ceremony, on June 23, 2023, the workshop - "And that's a good thing? Homo- and transphobia today - perception, self-reflection and prevention" will take place. This event will be led by Christian Müller from CSD e.V.,responsible for site management Regenbogenkombinat Cottbus and Regenbogenstützpunkt Guben, volunteer coordination, educational work and much more. Today's forms of homophobia and transphobia are worked out and the possible causes are discussed. In a self-reflection the own socialization-conditioned images about "the others" will be explored. - Where do they come from? - What function do they have for me and what can I do about it? Afterwards, a concept is developed on how to best deal with homophobia and transphobia in everyday life.
