André Berger

• Qualifications & experience:
  • Graduate in Business Informatics
  • Two decades of relevant professional experience in the field of intellectual property
  • Many years’ experience managing patent departments in two medium-sized industrial companies
• Core competencies & responsibilities:
  • Advising university staff at the interface between academic chairs and university management
  • Legal assessment and examination of incoming invention disclosures
  • Supporting the process from submission through to patent grant at the patent offices
  • Strategic protection of research results as a basis for spin-offs (start-ups) or licensing
  • Planning and organising information sessions to proactively raise awareness in chairs
