“Good Scientific Practice and the Use of AI Tools”
Funding organizations also play an important role in consolidating and safeguarding standards of good scientific practice. In this seminar, following a brief introduction to the topic, we will present current guidelines from major funding organizations, such as the German Research Foundation (DFG), for ensuring good scientific practice and discuss their implementation at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. A particular focus will be on the handling of research data. Examples of research misconduct will be provided, and the procedure for handling allegations of research misconduct will be outlined. We will also address current developments, particularly regarding the use of generative AI models (e.g., ChatGPT) in the context of scientific work. There will also be ample opportunity to ask questions.
