A study at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is investigating the effectiveness of a smartphone-assisted therapy program for people with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. Participants are currently being sought for this.

The application phase for the summer semester 2023 starts for applicants with an international qualification for admission to higher education (from 1. November 2022) and for applicants with a German qualification for admission to higher education (from 1. December 2022).

Top marks and top rankings in the renowned Germany-wide ranking of the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) were achieved by the master's degree programs in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

Information and feedback

The BTU's Teach&Play project, which is based at the Information, Communication and Media Center (IKMZ), was selected from 91 participants in the competition to receive an award for its educational game "re:construction". This makes it one of the 16 award-winning initiatives in the "N" category nationwide.

The European University Association (EUA) is the largest association of European universities and universities of applied sciences. The Association of European Universities has about 850 members from 48 countries of the European Higher Education Area. The Research and Innovation Strategy Group (RISG) is an advisory body to the EUA Board and Council.

What opportunities for transformation arise in connection with the coal phase-out in Lusatia and worldwide? What challenges must be met in this context? These questions will be the focus of the "Open BTU" lecture series on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, 5:30 p.m., at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

A manuscript with co-authors from University of Hannover, University of Bremen, and from synchrotrone in Trieste (Italy) has been published in »The Journal of Physical Chemistry C«.

BTU scientists will present research results on the topic of digitization in regional development on November 18, 2022. They will also discuss their transferability to the state of Brandenburg at the diesel power plant in Cottbus.
