Building History and Art History: interdisciplinary study with perspective

New at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) and unique in Germany is the study program Building History and Art History. The admission-free bachelor's program will start in the upcoming winter semester 2022/23.

New deadline: Call for Extended Abstracts: Conservation Theory and the Urban Realpolitik

International researchers are invited to contribute to a publication on conservation theory and urban realpolitik. We welcome South and West Asian cases discussing cultural heritage conservation procedures within urban socio-spatial and legal-administrative relationships. Editor Solmaz Yadollahi kindly asks potential authors to hand in their abstracts by 30 October 2022.

Plant-based bioeconomy in Lusatia: Refinement of active substances

Plant-based active ingredients have become indispensable in medicine. However, the basis for their broad application is the efficient extraction of these substances from medicinal plants. Using a novel process, scientists at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) can extract efficiently the active ingredients from essential oils.
