There is only one intake per year - each winter semester.

The application period runs from March 1st to July 15th of each year.

The application deadline is 15 July, 2026.

There are two different ways to apply - depending on your country of origin:

• European and International applicants submit their application online to the University Application Service for International Students uni-assist.
• Applicants with a German higher education degree apply via BTU's Online Application Portal.

You must hold a relevant university entrance qualification for Germany and have sufficient knowledge of English.

The language of instruction is English.

BTU accepts the following English language certificates:

• TOEFL ibt (min. 79 points)
• IELTS Academic (min. 6.0)
• Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (min. B)
• Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (min. C)
• UniCert (Level II)

Only applicants from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Great Britain, USA and students who have obtained a first degree in English in one of the above-mentioned countries or in Germany are exempted from these regulations.

The admission is based on formal eligibility.

No, there is no entrance exam.

Participation in the Degree Programme currently costs € 391.80 per semester.
