After a brief hiatus, we are pleased to announce that the COLab facilities will be used by the Landesfachverband Medienbildung Brandenburg e.V. (Brandenburg State Association for Media Education) going forward, and there will once again be many exciting programs offered as part of the “LausitzLab.”

The “LausitzLab” marks the launch of a comprehensive project in the Lausitz region through which the association actively promotes the educational landscape in the context of digitalization and structural change. At its heart is a large makerspace in Cottbus, complemented by satellite labs and mobile programs that reach children, teenagers, families, and educational professionals throughout the region. The goal is to build an innovative and regionally rooted educational ecosystem for STEM, media, and digital education, as well as social participation. The goal is to provide children, teenagers, and young adults with equitable access to future-oriented skills and to sustainably strengthen the region amid structural change. To achieve this, skilled professionals are needed.
