Our offers for students, employees and researchers

Many areas of the BTU and the entire region benefit from transnational cooperation in education, research and innovation:

  • In addition to the extensive range of courses, students have access to an international internship database and can gain multicultural, multilingual work experience during their internship or thesis in other European countries.
  • Employees of the partner universities  have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with colleagues with similar professional profiles within the alliance.
  • Researchers can use synergies in joint projects within the alliance(REUNICE).

These networking activities aim to strengthen the cooperation between universities and business institutions.

Students

High quality learning opportunities

Customised education, that means starting where each individual is and taking the student where they want to go. EUNICE offers students a variety of courses: Topics range from information technology and engineering to health, history and social sciences. Language courses and courses that teach global competencies also help students personalize their learning path and experience international exchange with other members from partner institutions.

International internships and theses

EUNICE provides a free platform for internships and theses in other European countries with the international internship platform. Students can choose from offers from over 200 companies and institutions to experience multicultural and multilingual work experiences abroad. The participating companies present themselves on the platform as attractive employers and can establish direct contact with students.

International activities

In addition to the course content, EUNICE offers further opportunities for multicultural experiences. Conferences, workshops, events but also intensive programs and summer schools are part of the repertoire. The intensive program "Introduction to Global Studies" (2022) at the University of Cantabria (Spain) provided in two weeks numerous contents on different disciplines such as health, culture or economics from a global perspective.

Research

Platform for the exchange of expertise

The projects to build stronger links between science and society are bundled under "Reunice". One example is the Expertise Exchange Platform, a virtual "marketplace" for researchers to share ideas and solutions to potential challenges. Content, tools and shared resources can be presented on the platform.

Joint research

Researchers from EUNICE are invited to apply for joint research projects. The aim is to strengthen the promotion of collaboration between universities and other sectors in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of the activities developed in EUNICE. Discover opportunities ("Opportunities"), scientific events ("Scientific Dissemination Events") or different platforms for exchange.

Employees

Staff Week

Employees of the BTU can visit the other partner universities within the framework of EUNICE for an exchange of content. The members of the alliance bundle requests for EUNICE staff weeks. For example, the University of Cantabria (Spain) invites staff members from administration, research, and teaching to Santander from June 19-22, 2023, to exchange ideas with colleagues who have a similar professional profile.
