As a member of the European University Alliance EUNICE, the Brandenburg University of Technology develops its own lived European identity

EUNICE, the European UNIversity for Customised Education, is a group of ten universities from different European countries with a common DNA: all universities are medium-sized and strongly anchored locally, they are in a process of structural change and the students are the focus of interest. Customised course offerings will be created for these students in order to prepare them in the best possible way for the European labor market.

The EUNICE alliance is currently supported by ten universities:

• The Poznań University of Technology (Poland),
• Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany),
• the University of Cantabria (Spain),
• the University of Mons (Belgium),
• the University of Catania (Italy),
• the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France),
• the University of Vaasa (Finland),
• the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (Portugal),
• the University of the Peloponnese (Greece) and
• the Karlstad University (Sweden).

The alliance emerged in 2020 from the "European Universities" initiative. Since November 2022, the European University Alliance EUNICE is no longer "just" a project, but an institution. From now on, the higher education alliance operates as an international non-profit association (AISBL: Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif). Philippe Dubois, current rector of the University of Mons, is the first president of AISBL and Abdelhakim Artiba, president of Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, is its vice president.
