Anja HerzogHospices are independent facilities with a care mandate and a familial character whose admissions are certified by medical indications. However, hospices are also educational centres. For example, research focuses on dying people (perspective holders) who invite other people to enter into an exchange of experiences about dying, death, loss and grief, as well as carers, families and friends who reflect on and shape their feelings and current (framework) conditions in a hospice.

The aim of the doctoral studies "Dying people in a dialogue-based exchange of experiences in a hospice" is to compile the experiences of learners (survivors) and make them accessible for training programmes in the healthcare system.

Erik HalmIn Germany, osteoarthritis of the hip joint is still often treated with joint replacement compared to other countries.

Education (information, counselling, training and guidance) is an important part of supervising patients in physiotherapy. However, little research has been conducted into how this is carried out in practice and whether it can sometimes prevent operations.

Renata ShamsutdinovaThe dissertation Lingustic Competence in Adult Literacy Education: Practice ans Perspective uses the paradigm of eudaimogenesis as a theoretical basis and develops this approach further in the context of adult education. The work examines linguistic foundations of literacy education and focuses in particular on linguistic structural competences that are relevant for assessments and the didactic promotion of reading and writing skills. The aim of the dissertation is to critically scrutinise existing theoretical and methodological approaches and to derive practice-oriented recommendations for the further training of teachers in the field of literacy.

Nicole BorsutzkyThe reality of life in the teaching profession is emotionally challenging and is often accompanied by the experience of anger. The phenomenon of teacher anger in the classroom represents a research desideratum from an educational theory perspective, which the
dissertation "Bildende Wut? Qualitative studies on teachers' anger in the classroom" is dedicated to basic theory and qualitative empirical research.
Prof.in. Dr.in. Juliane Noack Napoles
Iris PampThe dissertation "Scham (in) der Pädagogik - am Beispiel von Literalität" examines the extent to which school experiences of shame in the acquisition of written language lead to biographical breaks that permanently restrict the acquisition of written language skills. The focus is on retrospectively remembered situations in which learners felt ashamed, devalued or exposed. The central assumption is that such experiences lead to written language skills not being developed to the expected extent, so that the self-relationship and access to education are permanently impaired. This is associated with the risk that social participation through literacy remains difficult.

Doinita GrosuChristine Galitzi is one of the women who played an important role in the emergence of social work as a profession in Romania. Nevertheless, there is little information about her life and her work is only partially known. Even her full date of birth and year of death are not yet publicly available. She is not mentioned in current articles and books on the history of social work in Romania.

The dissertation "Moving Social Work: A History of Social Work along the Biography of a Romanian Social Worker" explores the biography of the sociologist and social worker Christine Galitzi along her transnational life and international work. Among other things, the results should enable students to better reflect on their own professional identity and to understand the lifeworlds of future clients.
