Start of the winter semester 2026/27

Dear first-year students,

Congratulations on your place and a warm welcome to the Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching study programme.

A ceremonial introductory event with important information about your new degree programme will take place on Wednesday, 30 September 2026 from 11.00 to 12.30 in the concert hall of House 7 (R. 7.112) on the Cottbus-Sachsendorf campus. During this event, we would like to give you the opportunity to get to know the faculty, the Departmental Committee and the premises of our institute better.
All regular seminars for the winter semester 2026/27 will then begin for you from Monday, 5 October 2026.

For further tips on studying at BTU, getting to know other first-year students and the university city of Cottbus and its surroundings, the OTIWO introductory week will take place for you. These informative and colourful days are organised for you by students from higher semesters. Participation is voluntary, but highly recommended for all students.
