Breaking Borders to Build Bridges | Reading with Women in Exile e.V. | Days against Violence 2022

The International Human Rights Day, December 10th, is also the last day of BTU's "Days against Violence" 2022. We cordially invite you to the closing event on Saturday, 10.12.2022, at 5 p.m. in Bühne 8. Together with Women in Exile e.V. and the Ukrainian singer-songwriter TANKATAKA, we are organizing a multilingual evening with readings and music.

The final evening of the "Days against Violence" at BTU is dedicated to the topic of flight and migration. Representatives of Women in Exile e.V. will read from the current publication "Breaking Borders to Build Bridges" . A collection of texts by refugee women about flight, survival, the situation in refugee camps and the history of the association, a self-organized group of refugee women who have been campaigning for the free movement of refugees and the abolition of refugee camps for 20 years. The reading will be musically accompanied by the Ukrainian singer-songwriter TANKATAKA. The Cottbus chapter of Amnesty International will participate with an information booth and the possibility to take part in the Letter Marathon 2022 "Writing for Freedom". Moderation: Karoline Leder (Stiftung SPI), Jana Schäfer (BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg). Languages: English, German, Ukrainian. A donation for the association Women in Exile e.V. is requested.
