Following on from the positive experiences of the previous year, the second onboarding event for new doctoral candidates took place at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg in 2026. As in the previous year, the event provided valuable networking opportunities and a chance to strengthen ties within the doctoral student community.

The Federal University of Viçosa (UFV, Brazil) is hosting an international online hackathon for students from UFV and the EUNICE partner universities. The event is being organised in collaboration with the EUNICE university alliance and supported by tecnoPARQ – the Viçosa Technology Park.

Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) extends a warm welcome to numerous new exchange students for the academic year 2026/27. Through the ERASMUS+ and STUDEXA exchange programs, students from around the globe have arrived in Cottbus to study at BTU for one or two semesters and play an active role in university life.

The young Nigerian woman has been studying for a Master’s degree in Transfers-Fluids-Materials in Aeronautical and Space Applications (TFM-ASA) at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) since 2025. She has successfully completed her dissertation at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) on the topic of electrified propeller technologies.

The BTU Buddy Programme, funded by the European Union and the State of Brandenburg as part of the project Get Involved – Make Friends in Your New City, is entering a new round!

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) made it into the top 40 per cent worldwide straight away. This result highlights how the BTU is making a name for itself internationally as a young, research-intensive university. For the latest ranking, published on 30 September 2026, 2,297 higher education institutions from 118 countries and territories were assessed.

A group of representatives from the management teams of Pakistani universities, led by the Manager of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, visited the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on 9 September.
