Dr.-Ing. Turgut Saner has been teaching and researching at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) since the winter semester 2024/25. At the Institute of History of Art and Architecture, he passes on his expertise in late Ottoman art and architecture as well as archaeology to students and colleagues based on his experiences in his home city of Istanbul.
Well attended and lively - this year's end-of-year event for PhD students and postdocs at BTU was a great success! On 3rd December, more than 50 young researchers gathered to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will receive funding for an additional three years (2025–2027) under the DAAD-supported “Support Initiative for German Schools Abroad and Partner Schools” (BIDS) program, funded by the German Foreign Office.
On November 12, 2024, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg welcomed its new DAAD scholarship students. These scholars from 23 countries, engaged in a wide range of fields, enrich university life and contribute to the cultural diversity of the university.
