Exhibition "Railway Stations in Germany"

Railway stations have an important social and economic significance as flagship of cities and towns.
In our exhibition we will on the one hand illuminate the design of the train stations in Germany and on the other we will focus on the largest passenger station in the state of Brandenburg - COTTBUS.

In 1978, 40 years ago, a new station building was opened in Cottbus, as in 1945 large parts of the historic railway station were destroyed in an air raid.
The new reception building has become the center and meeting place for travelers with more and more shopping opportunities and a wide range of services.
A historical outline documents the development from the island railway station in 1866 to the station reconstruction, which should be completed in 2020.

You can visit the exhibition from 10th July to 20th October 2018 during the opening hours of the IKMZ, 2nd floor.
