BTU Advent calendar: Door 20

A sporty tip for the Advent and Christmas season from Prof. Christian Kopkow, Head of the Department of Therapy Sciences I at the BTU

The Advent and Christmas season is associated with many typical culinary delicacies that taste wonderful, but unfortunately are not always healthy. It is cold and dark outside, so it is wonderful to be warm and spend time with family, friends or alone and - after all, it is Christmas - to feast.

At the same time, we are aware that physical activity and a healthy diet contribute significantly to our individual health. Despite all the temptations in the Advent and Christmas season and mostly full schedules, it is important to be physically active on a regular basis during this time of year. Regular physical activity is beneficial to health and should not just be an annual New Year's resolution, but a natural part of our lives. So don't wait until the new year, but become (or stay) physically active. This way you will also feel less remorse when the tempting smells come from the kitchen...
