BTU Advent calendar: Door 24

With the last door of our Advent calendar, we find out today how BTU President Prof. Dr. Gesine Grande celebrates Christmas. We hope that we have been able to brighten up the pre-Christmas season a little and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Prof. Dr. Gesine Grande, President of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg

How will you celebrate Christmas this year?
... with the family

When do you have all your Christmas presents together on average - are you more the "months before" type or "on the morning of December 24"?
I start collecting my first gift ideas on lists as early as the summer and it calms me down when I have bought all the presents.

Do you have traditional Christmas dishes on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - if so, which ones?
Around Christmas, my family is persistently traditional, even when it comes to food. On Christmas Eve we have Silesian sausages and potato salad, and on the evening of the 25th we have a festive menu, the highlight of which is undoubtedly the goose.

If you had one wish, what would it be?
For all of us a healthy new year, a big sigh of relief and a return to a lively everyday life at the university, culturally and personally, which we have all missed so much for so long.
