Pupils' university on the phenomenon of communication

The current online lecture at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg for young people in grades seven to 13 is dedicated to the topic "Communication or: How do people actually communicate?" on Saturday, March 26, starting at 12:30 pm.

The one-and-a-half-hour event at the Schüleruni will focus on the questions of why and how people communicate with each other through the use of signs and language.

The  speaker is  Prof. Dr. Juliane Noack Napoles, who heads the Department of Educational Sciences at the BTU's Institute of Social Work. After a brief introduction to the phenomenon of communication, she will look together with the participants at what elements communication consists of, what causes it to fail, and what consequences this can have. "Do your parents not understand you? Or do you not understand your parents? Why is your girlfriend mad at you just because you said something trivial? Or maybe, you didn't say anything at all?" the scientist asks. At the end of her lecture, Prof. Noack Napoles will turn together with the pupils to the aspects that contribute to successful communication, in order to finally determine that one cannot not communicate.

Registration for the lecture "Communication or: How do people actually communicate?"or questions can be made at schueleruni(at)b-tu.deor by calling 03573 85-335. The link to the lecture will be sent to interested parties after registration.
