The semester ticket is valid as a "9 Euro Ticket".

From June to August, there is a 9-euro ticket for all local transport in Germany. Holders of season tickets can also use them free of charge from June to August throughout Germany on buses, streetcars, subways, commuter trains, and regional trains (RB and RE).

This also applies to the #Semesterticket, which can thus be used throughout Germany without additional costs for rail travel.

The semester ticket automatically converts to the 9 Euro ticket in the months of June, July and August, and students do not have to do anything else. It is also not necessary to buy an additional 9- Euro ticket. Unfortunately, already purchased 9-Euro-Tickets cannot be refunded by the Stura or the BTU!

There is no information available yet about the refund of the additional costs. It is expected that this will be the case in the fall. The Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) has put this in the hands of the student council Stura BTU CS.
