Public lecture on the strategic orientation of structural change

"Something new in the East? - Structural change in Lusatia" - this is the title of the next lecture in the "Open BTU" series at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) with Prof. Dr. Stefan Zundel on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 5:30 pm.

All interested parties are invited to the central lecture hall building, on the central campus Cottbus of the BTU, Audimax 1. Registration is not required. Admission is free. Structural change in Lusatia is picking up speed. The number of initiatives, projects and infrastructure measures is almost impossible to keep track of. This raises the question of whether the multitude of individual measures also adds up to an overall picture of regional development. Professor Zundel explores the question of the strategic direction of structural change and discusses whether Lusatia has a chance of catching up.

Date: Wednesday, December 14, 2022, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Location: Audimax 1 at the central campus of the BTU, Konrad-Wachsmann-Allee 3, 03046 Cottbus

Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Stefan Zundel studied economics at the University of Duisburg/Essen and earned his doctorate at the Free University in Berlin. At BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, he is head of the Department of General Economics with a focus on energy and environmental economics. He has been working on regional development issues in Lusatia for many years. Currently, Professor Zundel is leading the accompanying research on structural change on behalf of the State Chancellery of Brandenburg.
