Research can be this exciting - clear the stage for science!

Your heart beats for your research? Let us share it with you! Present your project at the 2nd Brandenburg Science Slam. You would like to do this, but have never done it before? No problem. We have the workshops that will prepare you perfectly. Register by February 28!

Are you conducting research at the BTU or working on your doctoral or master's thesis? The presence offices of the universities in Brandenburg invite you to present your topic to an audience outside the university. The Science Slam of Brandenburg's presence centers offers the perfect opportunity to do just that. Join in!

A Science Slam puts science in the spotlight in a very special way. Scientists present their field of research to a mixed audience in a short and entertaining way, in a relaxed atmosphere and well explained. You can laugh, marvel and get excited about science!

In ten minutes of performance time, the researchers compete against each other in the ultimate contest of knowledge. The motto is "100 percent own research". The audience then decides who succeeds best in bringing entertainment and knowledge into a harmonious relationship. In the competition for the audience's favor, the slammers dig deep into their bag of tricks and rhetoric, making the slam evening a unique experience.

Science communication is more important today than ever before. Science slams play a major role here, because they bridge the gap between scientific ambition and high-level entertainment. At a science slam, you can experience science up close and personal, because in addition to creative input, you have the opportunity to talk directly with the slammers.
