City Cycling in Cottbus: BTU is taking part!

On your bikes, get set, go: the popular "Stadtradeln" competition is about to get underway. Sign up now for the "BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg" team and join in the cycling fun from 1 May 2026!

It’s that time of year again: the city of Cottbus is once more taking part in the nationwide “Stadtradeln” competition. The BTU will once again be represented by a team led by Prof. Peer Schmidt, Vice-President for Academic Affairs. We warmly invite all students and Staff Members from all BTU campuses to take part in the competition, which will run from 1 May 2026 to 21 May 2026.

The aim of this initiative is to protect the climate, fund cycling, improve quality of life and cycle for your own health. To this end, the kilometres cycled by all participants will be recorded and tallied. Every kilometre cycled counts, whether in your free time or on the way to school, university or work. Whether in Cottbus or outside the city.
