The BTU sports program - for many a good balance to studies and job

Currently In the summer semester 2023, after just over three weeks, there are currently just under 1700 registered participants who want to get active in the 124 sports courses over the next few weeks, try out a sport that is new to them, learn how to swim or dance, or simply let off steam in the ball and team sports.

With the start of the lecture period, the university sports program also began another varied season. A total of 127 Sports courses in Cottbus and Senftenberg are a valuable balance to studies and job for students and employees of the BTU.

The university sports program once again represents an active balance to everyday study and work, connects all status groups here at the university, and represents an important component of health promotion at the university.

About 100 volunteer course instructors make the variety of sports activities possible with their dedicated work. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to all of them.

Before the sports period ends in mid-July, sports festivals are planned for the first two weekends of July to celebrate the BTU anniversary in Cottbus and Senftenberg. Students interested in sports are cordially invited to get involved in the organization of these sports festivals, to strengthen their own skills in the area of project and event management, and to contribute to a diverse and attractive program.
