Exhibition opening "Architecture Transformed - The digital image in architecture 1980-2020".
What influence does the digital image have on the design and visualization of architecture? How has the representation of architecture that has not yet been built evolved in the shift from the analog to the digital age? To what extent do digital tools shape architecture? These questions were the focus of the research project in the DFG priority program "The Digital Image" (2029-2022), which concludes with this exhibition. A selection of images from architectural journals and the Schinkel competition will be presented, tracing the development of the digital image as a medium of architectural representation from 1980 to the present day in an exemplary manner.
The exhibition: "Architecture Transformed - The Digital Image in Architecture 1980 - 2020" will be shown from May 30, 2023 to July 6, 2023 at the Architekturmuseum of the Technische Universität Berlin, Monday to Thursday 12 to 4 pm.
