Raising of the rainbow flag at the BTU

Under the motto "United in Diversity – United in PRIDE", the CSD Action Weeks will be launched with the traditional raising of the rainbow flag on 29 June 2026 at 11 am by BTU President Prof. Dr Gesine Grande. This marks the start of two weeks in which we will actively champion the rights and visibility of the LGBTQI+ community and highlight diversity, love and respect in the city.

The meeting point is between the main building and the IKMZ, by the flagpoles. The rainbow flag will also be on display at all other BTU sites during the campaign period.

The CSD Action Weeks for Cottbus and Lower Lusatia will take place from 29 June 2026 to 11 July 2026. You can find the full programme on the CSD Cottbus e.V. website. As every year, the CSD campaign weeks will conclude with the CSD march, which starts on Saturday 11 July 2026 at 4 pm on the forecourt of the Stadthalle in Cottbus. This will be followed by the big “CSD After-Show Party” at the Stadthalle Cottbus from 7 pm, for which tickets are already on sale.
