Join the Alliance Games to kick off the European cultural festival EUNICE Weeks

EUNICE Weeks, the European cultural event of the University Alliance, are entering their third round. A diverse program invites interested parties from all partner universities to join in live and digitally. The BTU presents a virtual museum tour of the Dieselkraftwerk. Participants are being sought for the sporting kick-off of the events.

EUNICE Weeks - Already for the third time the European cultural festival takes place and presents a whole month (07.-28. November 2023) of numerous cultural highlights. Under the motto "Shape your multicultural intelligence to build your European future", students and staff members of the partner universities are invited to try out, develop and have fun.

The program consists of various events organised by each EUNICE university in turn. This year's offerings include conferences on European and global issues, forums to promote student and staff mobility, and cultural formats. The events are free of charge, accessible online and currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays in November. On Thursday, Nov. 16, the BTU will offer a virtual tour of the Dieselkraftwerk and digitally broadcast the tour of the exhibits.

The EUNICE Weeks will kick off with the Alliance Games - the sporting kickoff for the European series of events. The sports games include two different events: an online chess tournament (digital event) and a volleyball tournament (live event at the University of Poznań in Poland).

Online chess tournament (online event).

Organized by the University of Mons, the online chess tournament brings together people who don't always speak the same language - but understand the gameplay and exchange ideas through game pieces. The popular game format takes place virtually. Each partner university can nominate ten candidates for the event.

The winners will receive an EUNICE mobility voucher worth 320 euros to finance mobility to one of the partner universities.

BTU students and staff members who would like to participate should contact Tatiana Kholiavko.

Volleyball tournament (on-site event)

Participants in the volleyball tournament organised by the University of Poznań in Poland will actually work up a sweat. Here, too, the BTU will be able to nominate ten athletes and is looking forward to receiving registrations from students.

Please send registrations for the volleyball tournament by e-mail to Christian Groll.

We are looking forward to numerous participants in the sporting kick-off and exciting and colorful cultural highlights in November. For more information on EUNICE Weeks and the EUNICE Alliance, please visit the BTU website or the Alliance website.
