Award for Architecture student Erik Klink

Erik Klink is studying for a Master's degree in Architecture at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. In the summer semester 2023, he took part in the "One Task Robotic Assistant" course. With his design "Bricky, the brick box for optimal sorting and cleaning of bricks", which was created during the seminar, he was able to score points in the competition "Built on IT - Construction professions with a future". He won second place in the crafts and technology category.

The prize is awarded by the RWK Competence Center for the best three entries in each of the categories Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Crafts and Technology.

The RKW Competence Center competition is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) and was launched back in 2002. It is sponsored by the social partnerships of the construction industry and supported by numerous sponsors and media partnerships. The RG-Bau in the RKW Competence Center carries out the competition and provides technical support.

The RKW Competence Center is a neutral source of inspiration and advice for German SMEs. It sensitizes prospective and established small and medium-sized enterprises to future topics and supports them in expanding their competitiveness and innovative strength. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) on the basis of a resolution passed by the German Bundestag.
