Public lecture: Ernst A. Plischke. Modernity as an attitude

The next lecture in the IBK lecture series will take place on Tuesday, 14 January 2025. The Chair of Architectural Theory will welcome Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Schnoor from the Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland for his guest lecture at 7 p.m. in lecture theatre A of the main campus Cottbus. Interested parties are cordially invited to attend.

Prof. Dr Christoph Schnoor has been teaching and researching at the Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand, since 2004. Following his doctoral studies at TU Berlin on Le Corbusier's earliest urban planning theories, he has published widely on the subject.

The key research area Architecture of Modernism has led to many publications, including on the historian Colin Rowe - and not least on Ernst Plischke.

Another field of research concerns the South Pacific, where Schnoor is investigating the interactions between German colonial architecture and indigenous architecture in Samoa.

Participation is free of charge and without registration!
