Branitz Tree University Excursion on May 14

Old greenhouse area is being re-established.

The land was up to a few years ago a big area of greenhouses, therefore some remnants of construction materials and soils were highly human-activities influenced. Now this area is re-established as a farm with agroforestry set. At the moment all is still plain soil and Chair BPS is preparing for sample collection and soil analysis at the very beginning points, also, using for teaching.

The excursion took place as part of the Soil Protection and Management course (42205) in the Environmental Resource Management program. It is important to us to combine theory and practice, which is why field trips and practical teaching are an integral part of our everyday studies. We are particularly pleased when we can use exciting locations in the region for this purpose.
