Music, culture and community in Cottbus-Sachsendorf
Anyone who is interested is cordially invited to join the entertaining programme of musical highlights for young and old! The mixture of classical, pop, live music and dance music from the band has something for everyone who enjoys socialising and good conversation or simply wants to get to know people from the neighbourhood.
"Our aim is to bring people of all generations and cultures together. We are looking forward to a successful day full of encounters," says Tobias Falke, Media Pedagogy Officer at BTU. The campus festival aims to strengthen diversity and cohesion in the region and set an example for openness and dialogue. At a time when community and togetherness are more important than ever. The event will be opened by BTU President Prof. Gesine Grande, the alderman of the city of Cottbus Robert Perko and the chairman of the citizens' association Tom Riedel.
The Open Symphonic Orchestra will kick off the event with festive sounds. Afterwards, students of the BTU's Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching programme will perform catchy melodies and atmospheric pop music. This is followed by stage performances by the bands "Kassettenricardo", "Bei Bedarf", "Larrikins" and "Mutabor" until after midnight.
Fun is also clearly in the foreground away from the stage: thanks to the commitment of students and various actors from the neighbourhood, families can try out a wide variety of activities on a children's activity meadow, for example face painting as imaginative creatures, in the bouncy castle or playing volleyball.
There will be coffee, cake and tasty grilled food for the hungry.
The campus festival is supported by Krasse Lausitz, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg student council, Velero Management GmbH and Gebäudewirtschaft Cottbus GmbH. Kultur-Campus Sachsendorf is a co-operation between BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Bürgerverein Sachsendorf/Madlow e.V. and M2B e.V.
