Alumni meeting at the main campus

200 alumni enjoy a day at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). A colourful programme of campus tours, art and forensics awaits them at the main campus in Cottbus.

Vice President for Studies and Teaching Prof. Peer Schmidt welcomes the alumni to campus, who can expect a varied programme of campus tours to learn about the dynamic changes at their alma mater. Because a lot has changed on campus that is worth exploring. There will also be special campus tours on the subject of "Art in Architecture" for those interested in this specialised field, as there is also a lot to discover at the location. Later, the former professor for contaminated sites, Mr Spyra, gives a lecture on forensic work. In particular, he talks about old criminal cases, so-called cold cases, which he helped to solve even years later.

There will also be plenty of time to chat over coffee and cake and in the evening there will be an after-show party in the student club Quasimono, the former Zwischenbau, where many memories of the periods of study and student parties will certainly be revived. The live band My Wife And The Microwaves with BTU alumni, who mainly cover rock songs, will also be playing here. In the evening, the many fresh, international alumni, who previously celebrated their ceremonial farewell on 19 September 2025 and can now celebrate their graduation by dancing once again, will also join in.
