Faculty 4 of BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg Elects New Dean’s Office
With Prof. Dr. jur. habil. Jens M. Schubert, the faculty will be led by a personality who combines academic excellence, extensive experience in socio-political affairs and a strong strategic vision. As an expert in social and labour law, he is regarded as one of the distinguished voices in his field and brings many years of experience from academia, legal policy and national professional associations.
“Human sciences play a key role in addressing the major societal challenges of our time. I look forward to further developing the faculty strategically together with the Vice Deans, as well as with all colleagues, staff members and students, and to strengthening its visibility both within and beyond the university,” says the newly elected Dean, Prof. Schubert.
For the newly elected faculty leadership team, the further development of innovative study programmes, the strengthening of interdisciplinary research and the continued visibility of the human sciences within the university, throughout Lusatia and beyond will be central priorities. The two Vice Deans, with their extensive expertise in the fields of educational sciences and health sciences, will play a key role in this process.
The new Dean’s Office and the Faculty Council would also like to thank the outgoing Dean, Prof. Dr. Simone Schröder, for her many years of dedicated service and commitment. With her remarkable personal presence and her artistic as well as academic impact, she has played a decisive role in shaping and advancing the faculty over many years.
