A ‘Blechen’ party with spectacular illuminations in Branitz

On Thursday, 30 July 2026, the castle terrace in Branitz Park will be transformed into a vibrant open-air stage from 7 pm until midnight. To mark the 228th birthday of the Cottbus-born landscape painter Carl Blechen, the Prince Pückler Museum, Branitz Park and Castle Foundation (SFPM) is hosting the famous Blechen Party.

This year’s programme invites you to an extraordinary summer evening dedicated to art, light and electronic music. As soon as dusk falls, the historic castle façade comes to life. The well-known Art:Frontale association will project a fascinating light show onto the building. In a dynamic interplay, Blech’s world-famous masterpieces merge with modern, contemporary media art to form a total work of visual art.

The electronic DJs “Mystica” will create the perfect open-air festival atmosphere. In keeping with the theme of “Frauenreich Branitz”, the two artists will transform the castle terrace into a dance floor with their combined girl power and rousing beats.

Culinary delights are also well catered for: whilst the team from ‘Der Käfig’ serve refreshing drinks, the ‘Cavalierhaus’ restaurant treats guests to specialities from the grill.
