Summer tour and a colourful, student-led end-of-term celebration

Friday, 31 July 2026, from 12 noon, meeting point: the courtyard between teaching blocks 2D and 2C. No registration is required.

The focus is on the students’ working methods, projects and creative processes: what students have designed and what lecturers teach their students – all this forms part of the tour through eight studios, the drawing room, corridors, courtyard areas and the clay building.

For guests and prospective students, this offers a unique glimpse behind the studio doors and the perfect opportunity to strike up a casual conversation with students and lecturers. In addition, there is the chance to ask questions or seek advice at information stands. You’ll gain an authentic impression of the study conditions and the diverse career prospects in Architecture, Urban Planning and Civil Engineering. Anyone passionate about design, sustainability, digitalisation and innovation will find inspiration here and answers to many questions about studying.

On display will be, amongst other things, design and research projects on future-oriented topics such as sustainable construction, renovation of existing buildings, innovative and experimental typologies, digital planning and fabrication methods, and developments in 3D printing using earth-based materials, right through to monumental blow-up sculptures from the fine arts.

Through student designs, the exhibition highlights the various facets of the degree programme. It demonstrates how creatively, interdisciplinarily and forward-looking the approach is to tackling the challenges of the built environment. Together with their lecturers, the students provide an authentic insight at the various stations into what their degree programme is like and what makes it special for them. 

A summer food market with creative stalls between Buildings 2C and 2D invites visitors to linger. Students and local initiatives offer ice cream, cucumber specialities, waffles, cocktails and other delicacies. The programme is accompanied by musical performances – ranging from classical violin pieces to rock and pop. Gurki, the mascot of the Fine Art chair, adds to the summery atmosphere. 

The exhibitions and market are open from 12 noon to 9 pm. The campus party starts at 9 pm.
