Alumni group celebrates anniversary in Senftenberg

Fifty years ago, the students of seminar group B73/4 received their final degrees in Senftenberg. A lot has changed on campus since then. Now, a number of alumni from that year group have come together to celebrate their anniversary in Senftenberg. The focus used to be on technical training, which now takes place mainly at the Cottbus campus; in Senftenberg, however, many new study programmes have been established in the fields of health, teacher training, Materials Chemistry and Biotechnology. Over the past 50 years, not only have new study programmes been introduced, but new buildings, lecture theatres and laboratories have also been added. For the alumni, it was an impressive journey through time, accompanied by their colleague Klaus Kukura, from the former mining school to the modern university campus of today. 

We wish the alumni all the best and good health for the future, and look forward to seeing them again at the 60th anniversary. By then, there will certainly be new things to discover on the dynamic Campus Senftenberg.
