Registration started for the first EUNICE micro-credentials
Microcredentials are an increasingly popular format across Europe for updating professional skills. In line with the recommendations of the Council of the European Union, European higher education alliances are actively promoting these flexible course offerings to support lifelong learning and respond more effectively to the current demands of the labour market.
This new continuing education initiative, coordinated by the University of Cantabria (UC) in collaboration with partner universities and stakeholders from business, institutions and society, aims to expand opportunities for lifelong learning and address specific needs for professional qualifications.
A diverse range of online courses
EUNICE’s initial offering comprises seven English-language online courses – a combination of live sessions and asynchronous learning – lasting between ten and fifty hours. The diverse programme covers forward-looking topics, including:
- Child protection
- Climate and infrastructure
- Applied English
- Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Marketing strategies for ‘smart tourism’
- Financial IT
- Developing young talent in football
These seven micro-credentials are open to the general public and are completely free of charge for all members of the European University EUNICE. Upon successful completion of each course, participants will receive a digital, internationally recognised European certificate.
The current range of courses can be found here on the EUNICE portal.
