Student Council elections for the 2026/27 term

The entire Student Council of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is to be re-elected, and applications are now open for the 2026/27 term of office. Applications are still being accepted until 29 October and are encouraged.

If you are looking for new challenges or a role in which to contribute your ideas and skills to our university and our student body, getting involved in the Students’ Council offers the perfect opportunity. This voluntary role comes with an allowance of up to €150 per month (i.e. it does not affect your BAföG or health insurance).

The election by the Student Parliament will take place from 10 November 2026. The term of office is provisionally one year. We are looking for candidates for:

  • Unit for Internal Committee Affairs
  • Unit for Mobility and Higher Education Policy
  • Unit for Health, Environment and Sport
  • Unit for Culture and Public Relations
  • Unit for the Sachsendorf Campus (campus-based)
  • Senftenberg Campus Unit (site-specific)
  • Diversity and Social Affairs Unit
  • Administration Unit
  • International Affairs Unit
  • Finance Unit
