NEVER AGAIN is NOW! Rally and reading on the occasion of February 15

In Cottbus, February 15, 1945 is a day of remembrance of the horrors and destructive power of the Second World War. Many people lost their lives on this day, and several thousand Cottbus residents and refugees lost their homes, belongings and possessions. Shortly before the end of the war, parts of the city were reduced to rubble by a bombing corridor from south to north.

For many Cottbus residents, it is a day against forgetting. It is also a day on which, in particular, the high values of democracy, openness to the world and tolerance are remembered every year. This is iThe BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is a member of the "Cottbuser Aufbruch" alliance. It is important to take a stand against the right and for democracy .

 Cottbuser Aufbruch invites students, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg employees and citizens to a rally on the Altmarkt on February 15, 2024, starting at 5 pm. A reading is planned in the hall of the Altes Stadthaus from 6 pm.
