MetaMorphosis in Branitz Castle Park

With its title METAMORPHOSIS, the interdisciplinary team of four behind the project alludes to the mutability of the park ecosystem and its inhabitants. The insect altar by Jakob Kukula at the Buchenkreis site will be brought to life in a workshop together with ecologist Esteban Menares and visitors. From now on, the sculpture will provide a new home for insects - from wild bees and wasps to lacewings, butterflies and earwigs. Ben Meerwein and Xaver Hirsch will accompany the workshop with an audio-visual performance featuring live microscopy as well as 3D scans, found objects and sound recordings from the park.

We look forward to your participation!
