Lusatian Conference - Climate-neutral industry 07 November 2024

The Cluster Decarbonisation of Industry (CDI) invites you to the fifth edition of the Lusatian Conference - Climate Neutral Industry. With a focus on storage technologies as a driver for industrial transformation, the CDI welcomes its guests both on site in Cottbus and digitally via the conference live stream.

The Lusatian Conference 2024 - Climate Neutral Industry on Thursday, 7 November 2024 will provide an insight into the current technical development status of large-scale storage systems for industry and their flexibility instruments between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will address the necessary adjustments to the political framework conditions.

The Lusatian conference is organised by the Cluster Decarbonisation of Industry (CDI). The aim is for German industry to be greenhouse gas neutral by 2045. From the structural change region of Lusatia, the Cluster Decarbonisation of Industry (CDI) supports the transformation process of industry towards climate neutrality as a source of ideas and multiplier. As an interdisciplinary network, the CDI mobilises expertise and synergies to advance solutions at the interface of science, business, politics and administration. The Cluster Decarbonisation of Industry was founded in November 2021 on the initiative of four Cottbus institutions. The initiators are the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, the Institute of Low Carbon Industrial Processes of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Energy (IEG) and the Competence Centre for Climate Protection in Energy-Intensive Industries (KEI).

The event is aimed at experts from science, industry and politics. Registration is free of charge until 28 October 2024. Interested parties can use the form on the CDI website.
