11th BTU Transfer Day and 3rd Research Day

Science meets Transfer: social thinking, social impact!

On 11 November 2026, the Cottbus-Sachsendorf Campus will open its doors for an event that brings together science and practice. Under this year’s theme, “Science meets Transfer: social thinking, social impact!”, the worlds of research and business will come together to discuss the latest scientific findings and their practical applications. The event offers a unique platform for interdisciplinary exchange and invites participants to reflect on innovative ideas that can bring about lasting improvements to our social life.

You can look forward to:

  • fascinating talks and panel discussions on research topics and their social relevance
  • presentations of transfer and research projects: try out and experience innovations
  • A visit to the Construction History chair’s laboratory: a replica of a vault from Notre-Dame
  • Poster flash: Early-career researchers present their projects – briefly, creatively and dynamically
  • Networking opportunities with key figures from academia, industry and society
  • Awards for outstanding research and knowledge transfer achievements

This year, for the first time, the BTU Transfer Day and Research Day are being held together at a single venue with a joint programme.
