The BTU College was established in 2013 with the aim of increasing the general propensity to study in the technical degree programs at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg. In addition, this central academic institution seeks to improve the academic readiness of applicants, which ideally results in a reduction in dropout rates and increased permeability between vocational and tertiary education.

The College’s programs are aimed at prospective students and students, particularly those in their first and second semesters. For all of these groups, the BTU College offers study and subject-specific information as well as qualification programs consisting of standardized modules. Prospective students and enrolled students can therefore assemble an individual learning program according to their personal preferences, level of knowledge, and professional experience.
