Curriculum Vitae
Götz Seibold studied physics in Stuttgart and completed his doctorate on the subject of ‘High-temperature superconductivity’ at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Stuttgart in 1995. After a postdoctoral fellowship at La Sapienza University in Rome, he was appointed to the junior professorship in computational physics at the Technical University of Cottbus in 2003. Since 2020, he has been a full professor of computational physics at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. Prof. Seibold's field of research is theoretical solid state physics. He deals with theoretical aspects of superconducting materials, mechanisms of spin transport in solids, and, in collaboration with colleagues from economics, the modelling of tax evasion. Since April 2024, Prof. Seibold has been Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
