DFN-Verein provides the DFN-Terminplaner for the coordination of inspections, training courses, instructions and other events. This web-based tool simplifies the coordination of appointments and offers handy tools for scheduling.

It can currently be used to organise the central initial instructions for new colleagues and safety inspections in the chairs and other areas.

Initial training for new colleagues

Dear new employees,

According to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG § 12 Instruction), the university is responsible for the initial instruction and this is mandatory for you. Please enter your name on the list for the next possible date (but no later than four weeks after starting work). After booking, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. Duration approx. 1 hour.

The events are held in German.

If you have any questions, please contact us at arbeitsschutz(at)b-tu.de.

First aid for company first aiders 2025

Company first aider

As the policyholder of an accident insurance provider, the employer is obliged to have a certain number of employees trained as first aiders. In principle, any employee can become a first aider. The prerequisite is participation in a first aid course.

In addition to general first-aider training at the German Red Cross, we currently offer in-house training for employees in laboratory departments. The focus is on what to do in emergency situations, for example in laboratory areas:

- if someone is unconscious (e.g. stable lateral position)
- if someone is not breathing (e.g. cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- if someone has "chest problems" (e.g. in the event of a heart attack)
- if someone has been injured (e.g. stopping dangerous bleeding)
- and much more

This knowledge is refreshed every two years in a first aid training course.
The dates offered are for new and further training.

If you have any questions, please contact us at arbeitsschutz(at)b-tu.de.

An invitation to the respective event and the location will be sent to you approx. 2 weeks in advance.

Inspection of shelves

Inspection of shelves

Loose screws, rotten construction, incorrectly stacked - faulty racking systems are highly risky and can cause serious accidents, endanger human life and lead to high property damage. If it transpires in the event of an accident that the necessary safety precautions have not been observed, insurance cover is also lost. A whole series of rules and regulations therefore require the regular and expert inspection of racking systems. In Germany, the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) regulates the requirements for the safe operation of work equipment. The BetrSichV defines persons authorised to inspect work equipment.
For this purpose, we offer the seminar "Qualified person for the inspection of racking".
The seminar will take place at the main campus. The venue and room will be announced with the invitation.

To register for the seminar, please use the LINK.
