The lecture Operating Systems II builds upon the lecture Operating Systems I. The main focus of the lecture are heavyweight processes, memory protection, address spaces, the functions of memory management units, means and measures of memory management on operating system- and run-time level, integration and inter-dependencies between memory management, input-/outputsystems and networks.
