CreativeOpenLab (COLab) – ready, set, make!
Starting April, students, entrpepreneurs and all Lusatians can finally try out technologies like 3D printers, laser cutters and embroidery machines and take part in fascinating workshops again.
Planned events include:
- open.COLab.day. - Every Wednesday, interested people can try out the technology in the COLab for free and get advice from our experts on their ideas.
- 3D printing workshops - in a weekly series of free workshops, participants learn everything from how a 3D printer works to how to create their own model.
- Creativity workshops - on Saturdays, all Lusatians can get to know the possibilities in COLab without hurdles, e. g. pouring candles into 3D-printed forms.
- Lasercut and 3D printing workshops - The workshops make it possible to exchange ideas with like-minded people and build a community that educates each other on the relevant topics.
- Sewing meetups - Every second Monday, COLab makes its premises available for textile enthusiasts to continue working on their projects and to exchange ideas.
The CreativeOpenLab (COLab) - a structural change project of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and a sub-project of Startup Revier EAST - is a central place for making things together in Lusatia. The new Makerspace in Startblock B2 on the university campus is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. With the character of an open workshop, the COLab is accessible to all interested citizens, entrepreneurs and start-ups.
